Welcome from someone with the same first name. One word of caution. the class C's have a problem with leaking in the cabover area. Keep a close eye on the front windows and the edge seam. Pull up the mattress and check for water after major rains.

I just bought a 2003 Winnabego Sightseer with a V-10 and this is my first RV...talk about jumping into the fire. I was told that I will have to replace all the tires because they have never been changed, even though the rig only has 10,300 miles on it....hope they are wrong but I have a feeling one of you will set me straight and I really won't like the answer.

Larry welcome and congrats on The Gulfstream.

jabfado, No you won't like the answers you get. Got all new Bridgestones on mine. Six years old with 13,000 miles on them.

Thanks guys. glad to be here.
I am working resealing the roof right now. Eternabond on every penetration and down all seams including the front part of the cab, then Liquid Roof on top of that.

jabfado I'm no expert but even though your tires don't have much mileage if they have been sitting idle for a few years there is liable to be cracking of the rubber due to dry rot and UV rays. This can cause the tires to fail prematurely. Have them inspected by a reputable tire shop.

We plan on traveling with our cats. I am building an enclosure for the cab bed area to keep them in while traveling. Will post pictures when I am done
