I really wanted a Super C like yours...was way up on my list. Had actually just about purchased a new Forester 2801QS Class B when we stumbled on a great deal on this RV...the rest is history.

Didn't really plan to start RVing in quite this manner, but we'll figure it out as we go along, with all of you here helping us along I'm sure.

Just wanted to post an update on our experiences with the coach so far. We spent a month or so working out all of the kinks, updating a few electronics, and getting to know the coach. We then made a somewhat short out of town overnight camping trip with the dogs that was pretty successful overall. Only took moving the coach 4 times in the camp spot before settling in for the night. But all went well. I was starting to get pretty good at navigating the big ol beast around with ease by the time we got back home.

Couple of weeks later we hooked my car trailer on the back, loaded up the wife and dogs and some supplies and headed to the National Corvette Museum Motorsports park in Bowling Green, KY for a race weekend.

Here we are stopping at a winery on the way there.

We really are starting to enjoy this type of traveling. Having your home come with you really makes a trip like this different than any way we've traveled before.

Once at the track we set up camp right in the paddock area. We had access to a 50 amp plug but no other hookups. Here is our "camp\pit" setup.

We had a great time all weekend long. The wife has decided that this is the way to travel to away races.

Right after we got back, my business partner and his wife showed up, loaded up the coach with a bunch of supplies and headed to Alaska in the coach. They are traveling with some friends that have made the trip before and so far are having the time of their life. They too really enjoy this type of traveling it seems. Last I heard from them, they had just gone over the "top of the world" road and were heading for the Denali area. Everything has gone smooth for them and the coach so far, one cracked water fitting between the fresh water tank and heater is all they've had to fix. The wife has been doing the majority of the driving even...she was pretty worried about it but like myself, once she got used to it she found it is actually pretty easy to navigate around.

We don't look for them to be back here until around the first of Sept, then we'll have access to the coach again...maybe make a trip or two out of town before race season ends.

Anyway...just a little update from us...the newly infatuated RVers... Thanks for all of the warm welcomes...this seems like a very nice place, with very helpful folks too.

PS: the Golden Ox is still my favorite steakhouse! Or is it called the Stockyard? Ok now I'm confused but my mouth waters thinking about that place. Not fancy, and just a throwback. Been going there since I was a kid.

I'm sad to say, the Golden Ox closed down earlier this year. We ate many a good meal in that restaurant as well, an old favorite.

We are still waiting for the coach to head home from Alaska, I think they have started South again but not to the Yukon border yet. Can't wait to get it back and take it out a time or two before the end of the year.
