Newbie from Northern VA

New to this forum...been RV'ing for about 5+ years now and am almost embarrassed to admit we are just moving to our 4th RV. First was a repo 2003 Fleetwood Tioga 31 Class C that we got uber-cheap to see if we would actually use and like it. Got the bug bad, but the Tioga just wasn't us, so 11 months later traded it for a 2007 Winnebago 35J with bunks. Excellent Gas model, but didn't have the bells and whistles we wanted. 12 months later, traded it for a 2009 Fleetwood Discovery 40X diesel that we LOVED, but it was a little too big and we missed the bunk beds since we normally travel with as many as 5-6 of us. This Saturday we pick up a 2011 Tiffin 38QBA...a little shorter, has the bunks, but still all the creature comforts we love. I am looking forward to gaining more info from all the other experts!!!

Welcome from a fellow northern Virginian. Sounds like you have moved up to a nice rig. Enjoy!

Welcome.

I am new also. But, I do have a question for you. I have heard that the east coast is not big rig friendly and that most park spaces were too small. I am talking about national forests and state and local parks--not commercial RV parks. Is there any truth to this?

Welcome neighbor Barb.
I live in TN so you are my neighbor. The DW and I are about to hit the road FT. Sold the house and all it's contents yesterday. Wow what a shock, all to the same person. Best to you and sounds like you have made a great choice in your MH! See you on the road.
