Newbie from Texas

Hi! Newbie from Texas here.

Someday, we hope to go out on the road for longer than just a weekend here and there, but I still work a traditional job and will for a bit longer if all goes as planned. So we are not traditional fulltimers who travel a lot, but we are fulltimers in the sense the we do live in our RV. We are parked in a nice RV park, and we're new to living in the RV, so I've come here to gather information and learn a thing or two.

Thanks for letting me come on board.

Irn, Welcome we're glad to have you here. Definately a very informative and friendly site. If you have a free week-end now and then be sure to check out the Texas Boomers. We are located under the South Central Area on down the page. We usually post our Rallies or Campouts a month in advance. Would enjoy having you join in our group, you will definately have a GREAT time and fabulous food. Again Welcome to irv2 glad to have you.

Thanks for the welcome! I forgot to mention that I have a '97 Holiday Rambler motorhome and my toad is a 1995 BMW convertible. I also have a circa 1975 Sprinter 5th wheel, which is permanently parked and completely off the grid on my little piece of heaven, a 20-acre piece in the Chihuahuan Desert near the Big Bend region in Texas. The HR is parked in an in-town RV park fully hooked to the grid with electricity, water, etc. My family thinks I'm nuts, but I'm happy as can be. I work on a grant that runs out in a year and if I don't get a chance to re-up on another grant, I'll be going on the road then. Thanks again.
