Newbie from Texas
Howdy from south Texas, (San Antonio ) I just joined the fourm and wanted to say Howdy. My wife ( Carol ) and I have been RVing For a few years. We just went from a 30'TT to a 37' 5th wheel. We now have Prradise Pointe that we just love. I drag the thing around with a 2002 Ford F350 Dually Diesel. We just got back home from a trip to East Tenn. It was our first trip in the 5th wheel, and everything went smooth no problems. Our plans are to spend the summer months in the northern states and back to San Antonio for the colder months. I retired last June and Carol is retiring at the end of 2011, We are just getting things ready to enjoy life. Hope to meet many of you in the next few years.

Welcome Mate! I'm Aussie myself, but lived in Texas for a bit. Hope to see you out on the road. If you need any retirement/full-timing advice feel free to ask. I'm just touring around the country myself. This is one of the friendlier forums I've come across, you'll be comfortable here!

Thanks
Thanks for the warm welcome. We look forward to meeting all of you. We do have plans that will prevent us from making the October event, but we are looking forward to attending future activities.
Thanks again.

Welcome aboard Roadhouse! I don't consider myself a 'city' person, but I did love the time I spent in San Antonio (4 weeks, on business), many years ago.
Sounds like we're kind of on the same schedule. I retired June 1st, Peggy is trying to hang in to June 1st 2012. Somewhere around the 1st of November we hope to pick up our 'retirement' rig, in which we plan to full time, once the house is sold.
Happy trails...

Jay, We have more in common, Carol and I have been talking about trying the full timming deal at some point. I think we will do some extended time on the road just to see if it all agrees with our expectations. If that works out we will sell the house and live on wheels. But that is down the road bit, time will tell.

Ken, I got real lucky on the F350, I was not looking for a truck when this one became available. It was in such good shape and well cared for. It only had 75,000 on it. I just could not pass it up. I have had it for a little over a year. Love the Truck This one is silver.
