Newbie from Vancouver Island

and Yes,,, L Pryor is related to A Pryor...

I think it will be awhile to get used to this site,,,it looks great with a huge amount of info...

We have our RV picked out and are in the 'wait' mode,,,or should I say.."hurry and wait'.

I see that using mail forwarding is used in the US....don't know if we can do that from Cda...so I'm looking for any info to help us get started.

We (on the Island), are finally getting summer...we've had such cold and damp weather and I'm really looking foeward to a 'warm' southernb winter this year.

Glad to meet you all....Lynn

Thanks DriVer and Don,,,,
Took me awhile to clue into DriVers comment about R Pryor...sorry, no relationship..

Allan has already looked into the rally, but it's in two weeks....and not really feasible, but I'm sure we'll be at one,,,sometime.

This began as a bit of a jest....I said "lets sell and buy a RV and travel" that was about 4 months ago....the hugest declutter I've ever done...and it feels great.

so here we are, ready to travel and we are both scheduled for surgeries....this should be interesting, but hey,,I figure we can recoup in our new home on wheels,,,and probably will enjoy it just as much...

I said this started as a jest,,,,however upon some reflection since joining this site, some memories are coming forward.

We both remember talking about 'someday' we'll travel again....and I said, yes, I'd like a Winnebago!!! ha,ha,ha, says Allan $$$$$$$$$,,,,,and on we went with life.

So like some people I'd imagine,,,the kids grow up (only we had dogs, Samoyeds) and there's the two of you wondering what to do...that's when the 'jest' came in...

We've been looking at RVs on the Island and Allan's been surfing and we found several we really liked,,,,until we found the Suncruiser,,,that name itself pointed the way,,,,then Allan said,,,,yeah,,,you like it!!!!! Well guess what,,,it's manufactured by Winnibego....

Dreams do come true, even when you put them so far back on the back burner that you forget about them.

Once you make big decisions, like selling 'almost everything" there's no turning back...

Hopefully we will soon be in our Itasca Suncruiser 37F and enjoying this next stage of life...

Lynn
