Newbie from Wyoming

Hello everyone, on Saturday we made the purchase of our 1st motorhome. We have been researching and shopping for about a year now. We found a 2000 Winnebago Adventure 35u it has 31K miles on it and was a one owner rig. It's not perfect but in very good shape from what we have looked at in the past. The big problems were tires which the dealer is replacing, the speedo sticks at 25mph, and the passenger window seal is pushed out a little, no sign of water damage these are things the dealer is fixing. Everything else is small items like the shocks on the basement doors are worn out, and the bedroom door track needs some adjustments. Nothing to big that I can't handle myself. When we started our search we were set on a class c but we just couldn't find one we really liked. We kept our options open to the class a rigs and ended up with this one. We are very excited and hopefully we can get a trip out of it before it has to be put away for the winter.

Bryan

Looking good and, I'll say sorry for the weather that's being sent your way over the Rockies, we were tired of it , but I hope the rain we had out of it doesn't translate into snow in your neck of the woods.
Safe travels.

Welcome! We lived in Cheyenne for a while... lots of beautiful places there, although not much winter camping

Hi Bryan

Glad to have you here in the forum with us. I'll be in WY and MT next summer. Maybe we'll run into each other (and not with our rigs).

Best of luck with your new Winnebago and Happy Trails!!!!

Thank you everyone. We are not looking forward to the winter again but luckily for us this our last winter here we should be moving next summer to a new assignment. We are hoping for just a few hours south in Colorado Springs which is still chilly in the winter but it is not the wyoming winter.

Got our pick up date for Saturday the 23rd so it gives us a little time to get some things together. Like all the stuff to flat tow the jeep behind it. I know it will be slow towing since it isn't a diesel, but it should get the job done. My wife has been getting stuff together to load up the inside and I pretty sure my kids have already packed their bags. I am going to hate to get it home just to winterize it.

Welcome to the irv2 gang, Bryan! Congrats on your Winnebago Adventure purchase! Sounds like you have a good handle on what needs to be done to bring things up to par. Good luck with the repairs and enhancements!
