Hi everyone,
We're the Sutton Family from Tallahassee, Florida. We just purchased a Dutchmen Freedom Spirit 18'and are planning our first trip this weekend. We have 2 kids, daughter (11) and son (9)and two dogs (min schnauzer and min poodle). We've been tent camping a few times before, but never with the pooches. This weekend the road traveled will be to Eastbank, GA for 2 nighter. If anyone has any tips for this weekend (rv and campground) - we'd appreciate anything you have to offer. I'm really excited about going, especially after reading all the great advice from everyone in the forum. Thanks!

Welcome to iRV2. We hope you continue to visit and keep us abreast of your travels and expeditions.
Not being from GA I can't offer any advice wrt campgrounds. So the only advice I'll give you is go out and have a blast. Sit around the campfire with your children and enjoy thier company. They only grow up once and camping is a great way to enjoy them.

Welcome, Sutton family. We are glad to have you join us and hope you have a great time in your maiden voyage. Be sure to take it easy and have a good time. We use small plastic bags to pick up after our Muffin and keep her on a leash when outside. I am sure you will do just fine. Let us know how it went when you get home.

Sounds like you're really excited about your first trip in the new camper. Did you know it is going to be cold this week-end? At least you will find out if the furnace is working.
Just take it easy and slow. Check and make sure all rhe batteries in you alarms are working.

Don't forget the towels! We were previous tent campers as well, but for some reason, forgot the towels our first trip in our camper.
Also, if it will be cold, bring extra blankets. It may not get in warm in the camper at night as you would like.
Happy Camping!
