Newbie in Albuquerque

Hello, everyone! I bought my 2002 Casita Freedom Deluxe last November, spent the winter months in California working on it and my TV (4L V-6 Toyota Tacoma) and have been fulltiming in it since early March. Looking for info, or where to find info, about residency requirements, as I plan to travel a lot but want to reatin my benefits, etc. here in New Mexico. Also currently looking into adding solar to the wee trailer. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks a million!

I purchased my rig in ABQ back in 2005 and registered it in New Mexico at that time. NM has a rule that if your unit is purchased in NM that you can continue to register it there even tho you live (have residence) in another state. But the state in which it is currently parked or stored my have another opinion.

Sounds like your question is more broad that I can address, but the above is what I can offer.

Howdy Karen and welcome to the forum. You might check the Full Timers section and the travel trailer owners section for more help with your questions. Good luck.

Hi Karen! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join the group! Congrats on the new rig! I would suggest you post the questions in the appropriate areas of the forum for better and more answers. Not too many people hang out here. Good luck & God bless!

Hi Karen! Welcome to IRV2. We have our mail sent to our daughters address and she forwards it to us on when we are on the road. That way we can keep our registrations, etc. in NC even tho we are in Kentucky till September. If you have someone that you trust that can do that for you or there are mail forwarding places you could use. I am not too familiar with them, so you might want to post on the fulltiming board as well.
