Talking Newbie (in more ways than one) from Louisiana

Thank you very much for allowing me to be a part of your community. I have always enjoyed camping, but only recently joined the RV crowd. I recently purchased a 1989 Winnebago Chieftain that has been parked for the past 4 years, and yes, she is going to be quite the "fixer-upper", but I got her for what I think was a good price, and I am pretty good handy-man. This is the first Class A I have ever owned, so it is all new to me. I know I will be asking a lot of "dumb" questions, so please be patient with me. It didn't take me long, though, when reading some of the threads that have been posted here, to realize that I have joined a good group of folks that are genuinely interested in sharing their experiences. Why re-invent the wheel? I am all-ears to hear from those of you who have "been-there" and are ready to share your mistakes and your triumphs.
Thanking you in advance.

Hi knugent, welcome to the forum. Congratulations, I think, on your Winnie purchase. Ask away, somebody will answer.
