In our Class A, often use in summer when on the road for A/C. Other than that, useful for coffee brewing and microwave when boon docking. We don't use TV when not on shore power, rather use a book or iPad for reading.

Welcome to iRV2!

Generator use depends on how you RV. My use is 2 hours per month exercising it under load (the minimum all of us must do) plus using it for added A/C cooling when it is really hot out.
Some folks go boondocking and use the gen for recharging the batteries a few hours each day.

Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join the gang!

I take the RV out for a 30 minute drive and run the genny with both A/C's on during that time. Of course, that's when we are not on a trip!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

It's a good idea to exercise your generator once a month for 1/2 hour with a good load on it, AC, microwave, hair dryer etc.

At least once per month under load for a couple of hours. If this summer is as hot as the winter was cold, I suspect we'll use it more as many electrical pedestals do not have enough power for my 3 ACs combined along with other uses. I often trip the 50 amp pedestal when I try to run all 3 ACs at once. Bummer!

Welcome to the forum....We don't Boon Dock so our gen usage is very limited... I run it under load for about an hour per month in the summer months, and we use it for AC when traveling in the heat...
