Newbie racing family from South Caroilina

Hello from the Young Family. We decided we wanted to try the motor home tow vehicle option for our sons kart racing we do almost every weekend. We looked at used MHs for around 25 grand but decided to buy an old one to play with and get a feel for what we really want to do. O yea she is a fixer upper. We bought a 92 A class Fleetwood Southwind. for 2 grand. I know I know. Its going to be a lot to get it to a condition that I want it in and I assure you I know this. But allow me to explain who I am and why I feel this is the way to go for me. I hate rounding the corner and seeing anything that remotly looks like what I am driving. I love unique vehicles and I enjoy building automotive projects. I drive a 1962 Rambler for my everyday transportation and have many automotive - motorcycle projects that I have built from the ground up. I custom paint everything I drive. Part of the reason I do this is I am one of a handful of people that Paint racing helmets professionally for drivers in Indycars NASCAR NHRA and many many other organizations worldwide. Feel free to look at what we do on our website page and facebook. www.indocilart.com If you have watched the movie Talladega Nights or have seen the Coke racing commercials even if you aren't a fan of racing you have seen our work. I want to get my MH running well and get the air-conditioning working. That is the bare minimum that I need to use the MH. As we go I will work and repair as much as possible. We will use this to learn the ins and outs of MH ownership and if it fits our lifestyle. Wish us luck and I will try to photograph as much of this process as I can. Thanks for offering us a place to go to get information and share our new adventure and hopefully we will be able to add to your community.
