Smile Newbie to Forum

Hello all, My name is Nina and I am new to this forum. I have had my 5er since 2003 but it has mostly just been parked in my yard. I have taken a couple of 2 trips to FL in it with stop offs in TN and several trips up into the Roosevelt Nat'l Forest, but it hasn't moved in about 3 years. Now I find I finally will have the time, so I spent the last 2 weeks cleaning up the inside (darned Miller bugs!!!), throwing out the outdated canned goods (2007?), repacking the bearings and checking air pressure. As soon as this spring storm passes, I will clean out the fresh water holding tank and fill her up!! Plan to head out to TN at the end of the month! I used to be a member of an RVing Singles group, but it no longer has a Forum, so I am looking for some new Rving friends. I found your Forum very informative and hope you don't mind having a Solo in your group.

Thumbs up

Thanks, Scarab0088, I found that forum and got up to date on the postings since Dec 2015, and posted a note there.

Hi Nina

Glad you joined us here. Most people in here don't care if your solo or not.

Being your rig has sat for a while make sure you have good tires on it. Get a good tire shop to inspect them.

Good luck and Happy Trails!!!

I pulled the wheels off and repacked the bearings and gave the tires a good once over and added air. Still have to add some air to the spare and replace the cover for it. Thanks for the reminder. I replaced ALL of the clearance lights, there is nothing more aggravating than having to do that on the road with no ladder!! But I still have to take off the tail lights and clean the spider webs out and put in new bulbs. Hopefully the snow will be all melted later in the week and I can get that done without having to do it in the cold.
