Newbie who is traveling in TT from PA to Oregon

Hi, just bought a used 2008 Rockwood Signature Ultralite 32 foot TT and will be leaving August 31st with a friend and 2 dogs to relocate to Bend, Oregon. I am pulling it with a 2015 RAM Eco Diesel. It's quite a learning curve--I'm replacing the flooring and mattress this week and then we will give the thing a test trip to a campsite around here. Thanks for all of your knowledge and support.

A shake down cruise close to home is always a good idea.
Ask questions as they arise.
Safe Travels.

Welcome to the forum!
Be sure your tires are in good shape and wheel bearings serviced.

If you bought your RV from a dealer you could try there. If not, a mobile RV repair may serve your area. If not, an independent RV shop may get to it sooner than a large shop. Yellow pages or Google may help you find a service center.
Your brakes should be ok, but when they repack the wheel bearings they could take a look.
Your truck should have a trailer brake controller and you need to be familiar with how it works and its sensitivity.

I would check the age of the tires. There should be a oval on the sidewall with a four digit number first two is the month manuf. sec. two year. I change motorhome tires out around 6 years.
