Newbie with an Oldie but Goody

My husband and I bought a 1966 Streamline Duke 3 years ago, with plans to renovate and update. Then a new project came along: our daughter. So the TT has been sitting in the driveway taunting us ever since.

Our daughter is 2 now, and we're finally getting back to the Streamline. My husband has been working on updating plumbing and electrical, and we hope to take it on its inaugural trip this winter!

I found the forum today when I realized I didn't know if we should book a pull-through or back-in . . . . Did I mention we are newbies?!

Looking forward to gaining knowledge on the forum!

Welcome to the forum, Keelybird. I'm Georgia in Ozark Alabama and we have a 1994 Lazy Daze Class C. I can only say that if *I* were pulling a Streamline Duke, it would have to be a pull thru site. My trailer backing ability is zilch. Almost as dangerous as my being turned loose in a kitchen!

Best of luck with the renovation of your Airstream. They are great rigs.

Glad you are here. Pulled a 29' trailer for a about 3 years and my driving skills improved with each trip. If you back, go slow and have a spotter. Book a pull through if it is available, but don't be intimidated by backing. It can be good entertainment for other campers...

Welcome to IRV2.

I recommend finding an empty parking lot and practice backing and cornering.

I second the idea of parking lot practice.
