Newbies!
Hi all,
We are new to the forum and have been looking at RV's for quite a while now. I will be retiring in March but my wife will continue working as a realtor at least for awhile. We hope to be buying within the year and are trying to do our research now. We will be traveling with our three Cairn terriors which are our babies. I am also retired military with years served in the Army, Air force, and Public Health Service. We are looking forward to being able to stay on some of the military bases. After thinking we wanted a Fifth Wheel, we have now settled on a Class A because of the dogs and just for the convenience. We have been looking at used Winnebago Itasca's, but would appreciate all advice and guidance!

Welcome Jack and Robin! We have a Class C but have found with fulltiming, we need more room so are getting our Class A next week. I am sure you will love yours. Be sure to post pics when you get it. Good luck.

We just went through the process of buying an RV. We are going to be living full time in our RV in less than a year. We also feel a class A is the way to go. You should check out our blog, we talked about the pros and cons of each type and diesel vs. gas. Good luck...

Welcome Jack & Robin. We started out with a 26' Class C for DW, mw and two Labradors. We recently switched over to a Class A (and lost one of our Labs to old age). We don't full-time, so a 32' gasser with two slides is plenty of room. I don't think it would be quite big enough for us all to be full-timers. It might work for a solo.
For full-timing, the most critical thing is how the floor plan works for you. DW doesn't like the very small kitchen counter in our rig. I think a flip-up extension over the stair well is a future project.

Hi Jack & Robin,
WELCOME!! I hope that you like it here and will post often! Would love to see photo's, when you find your coach.
I cut my teeth, with a travel trailer (TT) and moved up to a 32' class A motorhome (MH). I LOVE the class A! It really is a home-away-from-home.
I show dogs and travel with my 7 pomeranians and 1 rescue Chuihuhia. I set up ex-pens so that they can run in/out of the coach and are safe and can not get out. I have had a lot of people come up to me at campgrounds to see it and set up theirs the same way. If you send me a private message I would be more than happy to give you the information for doing this. The cost is minimal too (always good for those on a budget- as I am).
