Newbies from Kerrville, TX

Hi All-
John & Ruthie here. We're brand new at this (at age 72). Recently purchased a (new) 2010 Class A Fleetwood Encounter 32BH - now known as Storm. Been doing alot of reading, studying, and outfitting. Most recent purchase was a Winegard SK-3005 DIRECTV Slimline so I don't miss any NY Yankee and Denver Bronco games while on the road.

There sure is alot to learn about RV'ing.

Also learning how to post here. I goofed earlier and double posted something regarding some advice for swivel wheel trailers. I guess I need to find out how to move posts! Anyway, sorry for the mistake!

It's nice to be here. Looks like a terrific site.

That's an understatement JG. However there's no time like the present to start learning. Hang in there, it will all come to you in a flash.

Hello and Welcome! I don't think we ever stop learning about RV's and traveling. Are you a transplant? My DH is from San Antonio and we lived in Arlington for 6 years. We are huge Cowboy and Ranger fans. I am originally from NY but don't really cheer for any NY teams. Go figure! Anyway, Happy Travels.

Welcome John & Ruthie. Congratulations on your new Fleetwood. Glad to have you on the forum. We get out to San Antonio often. Maybe will run into in the area sometime.

I started with my first RV in the mid 80's while married to first wife. Daughter and myself went camping camping together. Ex never spent a night in it. Current DW loves it and this is our second RV. First was a 95 Shasta 5th wheel we bought brand new. Now we full time (stationary for now) in a 78 Pace Arrow that we love. Its a work in progress but we love it. When work picks up we plan on local trips of 3-400 miles or so to work out any bugs then if funds provide we'll head out much further. Hoping to work-camp in a year or two.

Welcome to the forum neighbor. We "live" nearby, or at least our stuff does. We are currently doing F/T and expect to be in the southeast for awhile. I love the Kerrville area, just don't like the driver there that killed my favorite motorcycle.
