Newbies Tom and Iryna (TandI Travels)

Thanks for having a site like this for learning. We are new in every way to the motorhome life style. Just drove or Honda fit from Seattle, WA area to Golden, CO. and purchased our 2013 Thor Hurricane 29X. Having never driven a motorhome before, let alone a Class A, I was sweaty palms and nervous. I think I stayed that way the whole first day driving back. I have been doing a lot of reading a research on what to do and things to do, but reading and doing are two different beasts. Anyway I wanted to say hello and have several questions, just need the right area to post them. Thanks, Tom

Welcome to you both. You'll soon get the hang of it. We started out with a 26' Class C but graduated to a 32' Class A. Fortunately, I got a couple of years post-Boeing retirement as a transit coach driver. After horsing a 40' coach through downtown Everett at 5:00 pm, the Class A was not an issue.

Welcome to the forum. Driving will become easier as time goes on. Luckily I used to drive large gravel and delivery trucks. The class A with toad is easy to drive.

You should post some pics of your new rig.
