New to the site, not to camping or RVing. 46 years of age - not "old".
I have been tent camping most of my life and have learned many a trick to stay comfortable. Never packed light. LOL! Huge tent, tarp overhead with lights, grill and coolers. Survived many a N.Florida thunder storms and bands from passing hurricanes tenting.
Lived 5 or 6 years in a 5vr that was not moved the whole time. Don't want to do that again, for now.
I was just given a 2007 toyhauler and have taken it out 2 times so far. Once to Leesburg Bikefest with my bike (and girlfriend), and then a regular campground (with the girlfriend & her kids) I have been reading here and other forums for tips, ideas, and mods.
Best mod I found so far, that I did; I added a relay to make my toy loading lights into backup lights.
Reading here and other places, I plan on upgrading the TV when funds allow. I have use of truck scales at work and I am at the limits of my truck. Not over, even with bike loaded, but close. I'm not planning any trips to anywhere with mountains till I upgrade. So, for now, staying on flat terrain.
