Talking to other folks about common interests is probably the best place on earth to learn the ins and outs of anything. Glad to be a part of this site and hope to learn something as well as impart something as we go along. I am changing out the front TV on our motorhome and have a snag or two and hope that someone here can get me back on the road to success.

Welcome to iRV2. I see by your profile you own an Itasca. I would encourage you to visit the Winnebago Owners Forum. I know several have upgraded their TVs and I believe there is a wealth of info available to you just by asking. Keep us posted on your changes. Pictures are always helpful and appreciated.

Hi, guys......how about a 'how-to' on the removal of the 25" RCA monster from the metal cage. I've got the bolts out on the hold-down strap and have it loose but think the top strap is screwed/bolted to the tv - any suggestions?

Another welcome to IRV2. As Petro suggested, check the Winnebago Owners forum and you will find many threads on TV removal/replacement in Winnebago/Itasca rigs.

Most of the Winne/Itasca's have a metal strap that goes over the TV and holds it down. Generally, you must remove the trim from around/under the TV, loosen two bolts on either side of the strap, then you can pull the TV forward and out. As you already suspect, it is heavy, so it is best done by two people.
