Lightbulb No longer wannbes, two more newbies

Howdy, pardners. We bought a second hand 2007 Winnebago Vectra in December. Why would two people need such a large coach? Our two large dogs are newbies too! Since we bought it we have been practicing and learning during the weekends here in sunny Florida and recently took our maiden voyage visiting friends and relatives up the coast. We learned that people are far happier to see you if they don't feel obligated to lodge, feed or entertain you!! We also learned that we went too fast, not leaving ourselves time to really enjoy the sights along the way. We had to blow right past many places of interest. So our anticipated 3-month trip to Texas beginning in October has been extended to 6 months, beginning in August. I know, leaving Florida and going to Texas in August, right? I only said we learned not to travel too fast, which says nothing of our intelligence. Anyway, we look forward to meeting you as our paths cross on this and future trips.

Hello Chris and Marily, welcome to IRV2. Yup, we did the same thing on our trip to CA last year. After working so hard all these years, it was hard to slow down. But we have been practicing and I think we have it down pretty good now. LOL Hope to see you on the road sometime, somewhere. Safe travels.

Let the fun times begin !

My wife and I have been RVing for a year now, and LOVE how friendly folks are. While it is true birds of a feather will flock together, everyone is on vacation it seems like and willing to teach or show their rigs off. Have fun, I know we are.

Welcome to the forum and happy travels,

My website describes the conversion of my Dodge B-250 van into a small RV. I deal with a lot of woodworking, but hope to be quite specific on solar as well.
