Allow me to provide a little more information. I think when I mentioned retirement I gave the impression I would be doing extensive travel in a MH. Actually I am looking for a TT to mainly use for NASCAR events and Bluegrass festivals when I finally have time for it after retirement.

I have been reading a lot on this forum and it has been a wealth of information. My intent was to buy a used TT. I don't want to make a huge investment right now because my wife "claims" she will not like to overnight in a camper. In fact, many of my trips will be alone anyway as I do now. Camping at these events will allow me to spend extended time at them as opposed to coming in and out just for one day, sitting in traffic jams or getting gouged on hotel prices. I am hoping, however, that my wife will like the experience more than she thinks she will.

After reading much here it appears that one must do a lot of due diligence when buying a used RV because there is so much that can be wrong with them if the owner has not been persistent with maintenance. Also, it appears that it's not if, but when a TT will start leaking. That scares me about buying used.

Thanks for the welcome and kind words. I can tell there are a lot of nice folks here who go out of their way to help each other. Still reading, learning and enjoying this forum...

I think you are smart buying a used one and for all the reasons you mentioned.

I know one of the best TT I had was a Nash made by Northwood. Artic Fox is another of their models.

They have an excellent reputation.

2004 Monaco La Palma 36DBD, W22, 8.1, 7.1 MPG
2000 LEXUS RX300 FWD 22MPG 4020 LBS

Don't know where I'm going, spose I'll get there anyway.
