NOOB

Greetings All,

Exploring the RV world for the past 4 yrs...think I'm ready to make the plunge as I approach retirement from the military. Looking forward to gaining wisdom from the "oldbies" experience and camaraderie from fellow "newbies".

Cheers!
Dawn

Welcome Dawn! I retired five years ago from the military. The MH gives us another option when checking in on our aged parents or visiting our grandchildren.

Although I am not aware of your situation, the best advice I received (but didn't follow) for retirement is--move to where you want to live, and then find a job. I found a great paying job doing what I did in the military, but it is not where we want to live our lives.

Good luck to you! Enjoy

Thanks all...probably 6-8 mos before I make the full transition but looking forward to the adventure!

Nuc...thanks for the wise words, but I am debt free other than my mortgage and can actually LIVE off of my retirement (O5) if I do the full time RV gig...that's the goal...die while I'm living vs. live while I'm dying. No plans for employment other than to get me through the months my stick & brick house is on the market and after that just for fun & personal fulfillment.

See all ya'all on the road in the future! Appreciate the education I am getting here and will indubitably be back with questions for the experts.

Welcome and thanks for your service. There a lot of ex/retired military members who grace the forum. There's a section for military/veteran RVing which has a lot of good and relevant info.

Good luck with your plans. Safe and Happy Travels.
