Just a little note to say hi to all. We are currently in the process of selling our house so that we can buy a 5er & unit to pull it with. The temp atm is -19'C here in friendly Manitoba with 2 1/2 feet of snow in our backyard. We plan on being FT'ers & wander wherever the wind blows. My SO is retired & well, me I gotta work some more yet...lol. We are both looking forward to a new adventure for as long as we can.

The wind is blowing here, but the temps not a lot warmer than where you are.
Ever owned an RV before?

Welcome j2m2,
Good luck on selling your house and getting a 5'ver rig. Allow me to suggest that you point it south (Florida would be nice) during the cold weather and avoid all that snow.

We have camped out in tents, then upgraded to a tent trailer last summer. Absolutely loved camping, we were the ones sitting around the fire at all the meal times and watching all the expensive units pull in & having a good laff over the antics. This will be our first try at this & cannot wait for things to move forward.

Tip: Get a couple cheap 'walkie talkies' so you can communicate while backing into your space. If you have a CB radio you need only buy one cheap hand held.
Let us know where your first outing will be, so we can all watch.

Welcome. The advice for hand held radios is good but purchase the ones using regular flashlight batteries instead of the rechargable battery. With the rechargable they seem to be forgottn to be put on charge and then are useless when needed. Goof recomendation to head south to Florida or the Rio grand Valley in Texas. RGV area is much cheaper than Florida
