noobs here

greetings...wife and I just picked up a 78 Holiday Rambler Free Spirit w/454 in rough shape. While we have done alot of truck camper camping...this is a first for us for motorhome. Any info/advice on restoring then use is welcome. Specifically, I'm looking for manuals on repairing/restoring. Thanx...mike

SGTFIXIT, welcome to iRV2. You will find a lot of knowledge here. We have a Vintage RV owners group her and a forum fro Vintage RVs.

Get some photos of the rig and post them with some questions. I have never seen a book or manual for fixing up an RV. You can cechk the vendor sites for the various appliances and look for a Chevy chassis manual. Other than that, use lots of imagination....and of course some money.

There are books around for general repair and maintenance - I bought this one my self RV Repair & Maintenance Manual, 4th edition - Item - Camping World . I will have to say that it can give you very very general guidelines about a few things, but it rarely gives me any definite answers, and it is certainly not specific to exactly "your" rig.

Here is another link to "do it yourself" repairs RVers Corner - RV Repair for the do-it-yourselfer! . I don't own any of these guides my self, so I can't tell you what they are like.
