Northeast Georgians new to Rving...

Hi All,

What a great forum! We just bought a 40 foot 2002 Monaco Diplomat in July. It is our first RV and was pretty scary at first. (I am the wife and have only driven around Walmart so far.) There have been Lucy and Desi moments on each of our 3 trial trips! We are heading out tomorrow for a six week run. It is combination work and fun....heading up towards Chicago and ending in D.C. before we go back to Georgia. I have already had some folks on the forum that have been very helpful about places to stay near D.C..

The hubby has wanted to do this for three years and I fought him until this summer...now I think I it was a great decision...but, I guess we will see after six weeks!!!

Cee;

Welcome to iRV2, We are glad you found us. You remind me about our first MH. We purchased it in Knoxville and when we got half way home somewhere near Chicago I pulled over and told Bev "I got my half this far you get your half the rest of the way home". She has enjoyed driving ever since. Post often and tell us about your travel experiences. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

Don

Cee:

WELCOME! Bet your Diplomat can hold more rocks than Lucy and Desi's "Long Trailer" though. Sure have enjoyed our time visiting down in GA, especially the N. Georgia Mtn. Fair. Great place and nice folks. Nice to have ya along on iRV2. Steve & Lynette
