Northeast Newbie

So I was sitting at work one night banging my head against the wall realizing I need a vacation. I have always wanted to hit the road and see what the USA has to offer. I've done the get on a plane and go somewhere vacation many times. My most recent trips have taken me from NY to the west coast (San Diego, LA, Vegas). But there is so much in-between that I just fly over and never see.

I'm single, 33 and work for a municipal government (however a career change would be nice). I was planning on renting an RV and taking my first trip (north east loop) this summer, but work got in the way of that, so I'm thinking of doing that next summer now.

For my first trip I was hoping to get more acclimated to the RV life. I would only spend one night at each stop and spend more time at the campgrounds then anything else I think. This also has to do with the fact that renting an RV is flippin' expensive and I can't afford a long trip.

Any advise you can give a newbie would be greatly appreciated.

I know your vacation time is limited but you might want to consider staying more than one night in some spots. One strategy is to use the RV site as a base camp so you can explore the surrounding areas. Having just said what I said I realize being a renter you may not be able to tow a car to get around. So either way have fun!

Glad to have you here in the forum with us.

Staying just one night will not afford you much time to explore. Make the trip shorter (saving money) and enjoy the destination.

Happy Trails!!!
