Old but new here

Just recently (3weeks) ago purchased a used 2001 FW Bounder and took very first trip in a motorhome as a driver or passenger. Went from Sun City Ca. to Mammoth and was really worried but everything went just fine. Except maybe was a little slow for others up and down Cajon Pass.
How long does it take to get used to it? I hope not too long as I waited until I was 76 to even start out.

Glad you joined us here! And let me be the first to " Thank you for your service"
That said, you will be surprised how fast you will get comfortable behind the wheel! Cajon has many lane's, so don't worry to much, and take it slow! Rail!

Hi! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

Congrats on the new rig! Don't worry, you'll be comfortable with it very soon! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Our first trip was unpleasant. We went to the eastern side of the Washington Cascades over the July 4th weekend. Th daytime high temp was over 100F and the CG was very crowded. We paid for two nights, but were so uncomfortable, we went home after the first one.

Our second trip was over a very soggy weekend in western WA. It wasn't until our third one that we figured out the nicer places to go, and to avoid weekends. Our procedure was to time our departure from home on Sunday, so we arrived at the CG jut as people were leaving to be back at work/school Monday morning.
