Hello all! Just found this site, and looking forward to visiting often. Started RV'ing in "86 with an Allegro 33'....but with both working didn't get to go often. Sold it in 2000 and stayed home. Just purchased a 2002 Chateau and made a trip up to New Hampshire with stops along the way to visit family and friends. Rig performed beautifully.

Welcome. I have a 2008 Allegro Open Road Fred and love it. We're from Mass. and just getting ready to winterize the rig. Drained all the water out already. I was going to put the anti-freeze in today but too much rain. maybe Monday. In New Hamshire Cold Springs Campground is one of our favorites. Closer to home is Normandy farms in Foxboro, Ma. Glad to hear your new to you rig is working great!

Dan

Thanks Dan (Dan here also ) I grew up in Groton Mass. Spent 20 yrs in the Uncle Sam's Air Force and retired in ALA. (wife's from GA, no way i was getting her up north!) I spent 3 nights in Derry NH at Hidden Valley campground and golf course. What an Experience! First couldn't find water hookup...finally teed off a neighbor, Elec was 50 amp, i only had a 30 amp plug...back to the office for an adaptor...then the circuit breaker was popped. the Bath house had no heat or hot water..It was such a bad experience, my wife made up a 'for sale' sign for the RV. fortunately we were visiting family so we just grinned and made the best of it. Guess we have to have bad experiences to appreciate the good ones.

Thanks John and Deb....If you happen to be traveling on the PA turnpike and see a black wallet on the pavement, pick it up and mail it to me, I lost mine going thru a toll gate. I've been in touch with the TP folks, they were sympathetic but not much help. All is well though, new Drivers license, ID card and Medicare card.

Dan, Fat chance of finding your wallet after all that snow we got yesterday. Probably run over by a snowplow. Hope you didn't lose too much cash...

Thanks, John...only lost a few dollars over $100. filled up one more time and cancelled the CC. My neice cashed a check for us and loaned us a cc to get home on, so it was a frustrating experience, but so far no harm done....

Glad to hear your losses were minimum. When I travel with any large amount of cash, it is hid in the MH somewhere so I don't lose any. Good luck to you...

A follow up on the lost wallet in PA....I received in the mail today..less the cash, but I'm grateful someone found it and took the time to take it to a post office.
