There's a solo rver's forum here at Irv2. Welcome and hope your sadness turns to happy adventures. I couldn't think of going without my DW. I give you credit for doing it.

Hit the open road

Let the new adventures begin. Its the first day of the rest of your life. Enough cliches'. Been there and can feel right along with you, but others along the road helped be get into life again and adjust. RVing has it ways to make you feel better and meet the most excellent people. Welcome and if we can be of any help just post.

I'm amazed at the number of single folks out there RVing. OK, My wife and I hang out with other Class Bs and they ARE smaller, but perfect for a single guy or gal. This last summer we met 4 single gals and 1 single guy all driving Roadtreks. No one sees you as a fifth wheel (if you'll pardon the pun) in my observation, so join the fun with other RVers, enrich your life. Make new friends, life is what's happening while you are planning for it.

Hi Spiderweb, welcome to IRV2. Sorry about the divorce, but I am impressed that you are going to continue RVing. You will be surprised at the number of single females out there. Safe travels.

Well, I am an oddity, I'm married, have been going on 45 years now. But my husband either works away or overseas so he is gone more then he is home.

I was about to die of boredom here and he doesn't want to travel till after he retires, gosh, I wonder why. Let's see right now he is in Indonesia, takes him about 3 days to get home and 3 days to get back. So he didn't care if I got a motorhome and doesn't mind working on it when he gets home. Or bearing the expense, yes, lucky me.

So the last 3 years I take my daughter and off I go. I haven't gotten to go as much as I like because we have changed out motorhomes 3 times and spent a lot of time working on them and also DD had some serious illnesses again last year for over 6 months. But after next week hope to be gone off and on the rest of the year.

I haven't been through a divorce but I would think getting out and about, meeting people, and just enjoying life would be the ticket.

I would sure welcome you to our campsite anytime if our paths cross, we will be the big very old American Eagle out there doin' it!

Happy Travels!!

Look at it this way: You are now in a position to begin again, a new life the way you want it to be.

Enjoy every day. You never know when it will be your last.
