Old RVer, new tricks!

Hi all,

I am new to the forum after having been browsing for a couple of years off & on. I have RVed in one form or another since the 70's...mostly dry camping.

For the last 5 yrs I have pulled my favorite "toy" across the country from spring thru summer to various air shows on an open trailer. But the weather was making things dicey at times and I became interested in the Damon/Thor Outlaw toyhaulers. The posts of one member on this forum ( Vicap) convinced me I could make a 2009/2010 FRED outlaw do what I needed. This summer on the way home from Oshkosh, I found the perfect Outlaw in Ill.that had been modified, although not well maintained (pretty much nothing in 24,000 mi). I am just finishing up on everything, and am looking forward to this coming season's RVing...with my (toy) protected inside and learning/contributing from/to the forum.

Thank you,

Welcome to the forum Mike......That's the first helicopter I've seen in a toy hauler. Bet you get a lot of looks when you pull into a CG....

Safe and Happy Travels.

Welcome to irv2 Mike!

Man.... You really put the "Toy" in toy hauler, don't you?!?!

If your travels ever bring you along the I81 corridor, I would love to look at your rig. Happy camping/traveling/flying!

Thank you

Thank you to all of you! Now that the chopper will be protected, I will probably make side trips to and from places this Spring and Summer, where before I constantly had to do routing based on projected storms...lol...not always successful!
