Well let's see. We have been tossing the idea around for awhile now and so last month bought an extremely well maintained 2011 ORV Tamarack Trail 718FQ. There is just us two well retired folk and a smallish dog to house so as we have never owned a TT, and never towed one either, we decided to start with something small(ish) and see how we make out.

We had the consignment dealer winterize it and opted to have them put it in storage until spring. Meanwhile - big learning curve which is why I am here at IRV2. (Also got both tired and stressed after 54 Youtube videos on towing, brake controllers, weight distribution hitches, leveling, hitch weight, maintenance, winterizing, un-winterizing, and on and on). I have decided that too many videos are a dangerous thing for a newbie.

Anyway we have lots of outdoor experience (just not with trailers) and are looking forward to some next spring adventures.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new rig. You are joining a good group of folks here with good info go share.

The learning curve is very long, like for ever, but thankfully only steep in the beginning.

Enjoy the adventure.
