Oxygen in an RV
My Wife recently went on oxygen when in bed at night. We have a pilot lite on in the oven and one comes on when the heater comes on. She uses a machine to make the oxygen and we carry a small tank just in case. Is this safe?

can you shut the oven flame off at night ? that should help
the heater is under the coach I would think that flame is farther away .
that oxygen maker just makes enough for her to breath I would hope and not fill the room up other wise you will getting the extra also .
I wonder if they make some type of gauge so you can check the leval and have real #s

Oxygen is not flammable but it is an oxidizer. In other words it can aid a fire but as an oxidizer it will not of itself create one. So back to the pilot lights, well by the time the small amount of delivered oxygen leaves the supply tubes or mask it will quickly become so diluted that it won't have a measurable effect on the overall level in the coach. Ambient air is roughly 20% Oxy. Sleep well & warm

I believe the appliance you described is an oxygen concentrator. I.e. it takes the oxygen out of coach air it uses for its oxy source, exhausts oxygen depleted air back into the coach & delivers the scavenged oxygen to your wife. If that's the type, then there isn't any added oxygen in your coach. No worry, unless you leave the output near one of those sources of combustion.

As long as the appliances are in good condition and are used appropriately, it should be no different than using oxygen in your home with your home stove and furnace operating...Rest easy...

If she is using an oxygen concentrator (Machine) the total O2 in the room does not change... If you crack the valve on the tank it does increase.
I would extinguish the oven pilot the furnace, all flames should be OUTSIDE the motor home pilot and main burner both, Same for water heater and fridge. Only the oven and range top are inside.

My father in law used the tanks and machines for years on their RV without any changes to pilot lights etc. My worries or issues ever.
