PA RVer going full-time

Have sold house and contents. Next step is to go full-time in late September.
Any help about deciding between South Dakota and Texas as a domicile?

We chose SD 9 years ago. MyDakotaAddress in Madison. Terri is amazing to work with. Smaller company that has grown but she always knows your name and is happy to hear from you. She handles all our paper work. Even the purchase of our new rig and toad. Where in PA are you?? We are in western PA until early Sept if you need any one on one

Both states are great. But I don't know that it makes lot of difference any more, regardless whether you are a pre- or post-medicare retiree. If you are still working, then I would keep domicile in the state that can offer you PPO health insurance coverage. \ken

PS. CONGRATULATIONS!, by the way. Full-timing is going to be a blast!

We're in western PA too. Not sure exactly how replies work in the forum.
Do I share my e-mail open to all or what's the best method to use? Is there a section I need to be reading so I don't mess up? We're checking into MyDakotaAddress too. Looks like we need to buy truck insurance in SD also.
Our current coverage is with Erie Ins but they said they can't cover us when we choose SD as our domicile. Who did you choose?
Thanks!

Welcome and Congratulations!!

I went with SD and AmericasMailbox.com - I'm happy. The process for getting my SD drivers license was ridiculously easy - I was probably in the DMV office for a total of 15 minutes. Americas Mailbox did all the registration work on both vehicles.

I went with Explorer RV (Stacie) and National Interstate for my fulltimer insurance. I have no idea how to choose the "best" insurance but these folks were able to work with me entirely via electronic means and I prefer that (as opposed to postal mail and dozens of phone calls).
