Ok its starting up ever so slowly.
Ill splain the avtar.
The avtar is of Linda and John(me) in Lone Pine CA looking West at Mt Whitney area. We just love the Hwy 395 corridor from LonePine Ca to Bridgeport Ca. Lots of side roads to great wilderness lakes mines,and their old camps etc.Lots of mining history from 1850 to 193os
In the summer the daytime temps are great once you get from Mammoth Mtn to Bridgeport.
We try to go each year for a couple weeks. Just not enough time off for it.

My parents started my brother and me on this when i was 6yo. They used to take July-August off each year and travel/camp with a trailer in every state in the union (not in same trip),some multiple visits,except about 4 or so back east. Quite an experience,all dry camping or boondocking.

Have any of you traveled up the 395 in California/Nev border?

I think Ill start a separate thread on this..later,but Ive got a few chores I need to attend to before she get up. I dont think I need to splain that one ,do I?..or is it just me? Damn! she caught me just as I am now closing this up.
