Personal Introduction by autosaurusX

Greetings: My name is Greg, but I wll go by the user ID of autosaurusX. My wife, Toni and I are brand new newbies to the world of RV’s. I recently purchased a 1991 Coachmen Classic 34.5” Motor home that, as you guessed, is a unique fixer-upper opportunity! We are hoping to complete the majority of restoration by the first of November. I am a retired automotive diagnostician and have restored several automobiles back into reliable, working status. My latest project has been a 1996 4th generation Honda Prelude Si. As you probably can guess, I get the vehicle for pennies on the dollar or a variety of reasons. In the case of the Coachmen Motor home, the automotive portion is in very good condition, runs great, has fairly new tires and around sixty thousand miles. The previous owner was one of those people who started a lot of projects, but never seemed to finish any of them. Of course, it has a roof leak, but not a great deal of lamination present. Somehow, he blew up the progressive dynamics power converter. It seems to have a blown capacitor. It is missing the front AC unit. It does however have the rest of the components at least present. We have no time restrictions placed upon completion, and it will be quite a learning experience. Anyway, thank you for allowing me in the forum and I hope I can contribute some useful information. Thanks Greg
