Pleased to be part of this group

I am 66 years old and always wanted to travel across Canada and go to Alaska when I retired . In June of this year I purchased a 1999 Winebago Adventurer 36 " diesel motorhome. I purchased the motorhome in Maine and I live in Fredericton NB Canada , some 6 hours from where I live .

To make a long story short I left Fredericton on Sept 2 and by the time I had driven to Toronto Ontario ( 800 miles) my check water light and buzzer came on. I had a tow vehicle and had to use that to do my one in a lifetime trip . I had to winterize and leave the motorhome in Ontario where it is now .

I found out it had the # 53 Block (which was a shock and surprise to me ).

The motorhome has 70,000 miles on it now. I have heard that if the engine has less than 150,000 miles on it that Cummins Diesel engine corpn would do something on the cost of repair . I was wondering if anyone in this group would know of information on Cummins Diesel help in any way .

Thanks , and hope to find some help.

Welcome to iRV2.
Sorry you're here with problems.

I worked at a Dodge dealer, for over 30 years and on Cummins for the last 14 years before I retired. Only dealt with two of the # 53 blocks, at that time both were over the 7/115,000 kms Dodge warranty and Cummins didn't get involved ,and I believe there is a " years " component to any Cummins involvement.
If you have the engine serial number you could call ; Cummins Care to be sure.
