Ready for a change

Hello folks. We are looking to make the change from Toy Hauler to mid size diesel pusher and are looking to learn as much as we can from this forum.

It seems there are a couple different owner's groups on here, so we are looking forward to learning more about likes and dislikes of various manufacturers and models.

Welcome to iRV2

As you narrow your choices , to specific , makes and models, chassis and engine options, new or used, you'll be able to ask questions in the forums dedicated to each manufacturer.

Are you looking for a coach for a family and thinking of towing a trailer for your toys ?

Thank you!

Yes. Wife, myself and 8 and 5 year old boys. Currently have a fuzion 345 Chrome TH as we ride RZR's and atv's, but I have quickly found out loading and unloading muddy machines is a PITA! We like the garage as it gives the boys their own room with dual queen beds, but I grew up traveling in motor homes with my family, and obviously there is a way different feel to traveling long distances in a truck towing a fifth wheel and in a motor home

So the plan is to move to a DP and tow the toys behind. Looking for mid size DP ($300k plus and 40ft is not in the cards right now with the boys and all). Want diesel as I have a cummins in my truck and I would never go back to a gasser in the truck (especially towing trailers with toys in the mountains), so I cant see starting off with a gas motorhome

Glad to have you here with us.

If you not in a super hurry, plan on attending one of the big RV shows. The one in Tampa has been held already this year. However, there is a big show in Hershey,Pa. in September. Go to one of them, see the differences, and compare them side by side. That should help you decide which direction to go.

Happy hunting and Happy Trails!!!

When we went into the buying a DP idea we made separate lists of what was important to each of us. I wanted the power to pull the mountains out west while my DW wanted a bath and a half and lots of storage. It helps eliminate rigs and focused our search. I didn't want a special license so I limited the search to 40 feet. Each state is different so check yours. We had a must have list and then a nice to have option.
We found our 40' Revolution, 400 C9 Cat that literally had everything on our lists. Older than I really wanted but with complete record of maintenance so we went for it and haven't looked back.

The choices are endless and it will be enjoyable as you search for that special one. Good luck with the search.
