Realizing a Dream!

Hi Everyone!

As far back as I can remember I've wanted an RV, to hit the road and go and stay where I please. Well finally it's happened, we picked up a 2007 Pleasure Way Excel and we love it! Haven't been able to hit the road yet (ill relative requiring attention) but soon enough!

We live in NJ so just about anywhere else would be fun, but we'd welcome suggestions, tips, help, etc. Thanks!

Maine coast in summer, Florida in the winter.

Well, swimming on the Maine coast is cold but the scenery is fun. Depending what you like there is a lot to do in the northeast in the summer and fall. The same can be said for heading south in the winter. I think all east coasters need at least one leisurely trip west and all westerners one east just to see what the other folks live like. That way everybody gets to see the middle. I guess the folks in the middle need two trips. ;-))

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new rig. There are plenty (if not all) members here who are living their dreams as well. Assisting the ailing relative comes first of course. Thereafter, my first tip would be to better define where you would like visit, how you like to travel (interstate v. non-interstate), full hookups or no hookups, and possible interests (fishing, sports, etc.), socializing or solitude. Then post this to the forum. I can't think of any time here when a well focused question was left unanswered.

Our sincere hopes for a speedy recovery of your relative.
