Hi all, and how are ya tonight?

I've been a member here since early this year, but haven't posted much. For some reason, I've found myself doing most of my rv related foruming somewhere else...

Anyway, I come to you tonight looking for a better fit.
I'm relatively young, at least compared to some RVers.
I'm a hot rodder. I like power and don't mind spending some $$$ and getting dirty to get it. I do not top hills at 30 mph, and I do not believe the best way to ruin something is to modify it.
I'm a do-it-yourselfer, not a check writer. Out of choice, I could afford to pay someone to do it, but prefer to do it myself.
I'm open minded. My knee's don't jerk to any particular idealogy. I don't believe my own ideas are the only ideas worth having.

Here's my baby. I've rebuilt this car from nothing over the past 10 years. She's been done for 4, and she takes me all over, as far as yellowstone twice.

After years of thinking about it, I purchased my first rv this past spring. She's a 1999 Fleetwood Pace Arrow Vision, 36ft with a Ford F53 chassis and single living roon slide. She took the family on a 6000 mile west coast run this summer, 25 days on the road, my longest vacation ever.

So what do you think, will I fit in here?

Jim, Welcome to the forum. You already fit as you have shared information. In your travels West where did you go? Any problems along the way?

Jim.
Welcome. I'm younger than some and older than some as I suspect most of us are. All that matters is that you enjoy what you do for as long as you can.

Please join the Fleetwood and Ford owners groups on this site . We look foward to hearing more from you.

Cliff

The Camaro is a beauty Jim. 1968 RS? I had a hardtop 69 SS 396 the same color once upon a time. Sure would be nice to have it still.

Nice Rods!

Yes there are a few younger RVers in this forum, like my DH and I.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I spend a few hours daily on forums that share my interests, so I'll be a regular here before you know it.

On the "age" comment, ya know age is a state of mind, not a number on a calendar.

I'd like to do a thread on our travels this summer, where would be the best place to put it?
We met up with 2 other families, people I met thru the forums at camaros.net, in seatle, traveled down the coast to the redwoods, spent a few days at lake shasta, then went north, crater lake, columbia river gorge, zig zagging all around oregon, then said our goodbyes in Seatle and headed home.

Got the awning sucked off passing another rv climbing out of the columbia river gorge.
Replaced it in the CW parking lot in Tacoma.
Tacoed a rim when I hit a curb somewhere on the oregon coast.
Blew out a right rear outer, 30 miles from where my new tire and rim were awaiting my arrival.

And had a ton of fun, saw hundreds of cool places, took thousands of pictures, and spent 2 weeks with my best friends in the entire world, who just happen to live half a continent away from me.

Another thing I got if you're interested is a pictoral on rebuilding a powergear hydraulic jack pump, plus some good info on testing and troubleshooting this system.

Welcome, Jim!! Were we parked next to you for a few days at Fairchild AFB Famcamp this past September? I don't recall the coach all that well, but there were almost TWIN "his & her" Camaros ...the convertable and a hardtop I believe.
