Repeat offenders from W. Texas

John and Sue from W. Texas are checking in. After 35 years the Oilfield said they could get along w/o me and PAID me to leave, so I did.

We took the money and ran. Bought another newer \ better coach and have almost gotten the hang of retirement.

Congrats on the retirement! Did the money and new coach get you out of Odessa? If not, I know some like it hot!

Not yet

Thanks to all for the best wishes and warm welcome.

Nope we have not gotten outta town yet but it's pretty high on the TODO list. It seems all those "someday" projects just came due We aren't fond of the 110 temps but we start early when it's only 80 then guard the AC till it cools down.

Between Honeydos and checking, fixing everything on the new (to us) coach it'll be Fall before we go anywhere. Even then we won't be leaving Odessa permanetly for the usual reason. Kids, grandkids, paid for house and most importantly a shop set up the way I want it.

I've been lurking and searching the archives for the info I wonder about and have found everything I needed so far. I've figured out most of the abbreviations folks use here with one exception. What's a DW ? Dear Wife, DishWasher or ???

Congrats folks, enjoy retirement and the newer coach. Sounds like you are getting things in order, and will be able to hit the road soon. We did all that in 2011, and hit the road full time. Been loving it ever since.

Yes, that heat can really knock a person out. I also get the family, shop thing. Kinda where we are at right now too.

DW is Darling Wife.

Like mine!

Have a great day!

Congrats on the new coach, the fresh chapter in your life and from a former Odessa resident! Graduated from Permian in '69, left permanently for greener pastures in '78. You'll find plenty of knowledgeable folks here that are quick to help with problems & questions...and a few ol' soreheads as well!
