Just joined up after reading a good comment about this site on another forum.
After reading questions and comments and their responses, I agree that the folks here are just like the vast majority of RVers that Carol and I have met over the years. That is; first, to help in any way those who have a question or problem, and second, to share their own experiences, joys, hopes, or maybe disappointments and listen patiently to others.

I retired from the US Army and was involved , among other things, in the logging and sawmill business, several other small businesses, and finally education.
Both Carol and I have a wide variety of hobbies and interests, the involvement level of which varies with some health issues that have been dogging me lately.
Cheers.

Big Ranger, Glad to have you here. Drag up a chair and sit and visit a spell. There a bunch or retired military folks on here.

Welcome to iRV2, Big Ranger. We look forward to having you post here.

I just wanted to let you know there's an active group of us from OH & W PA that camp together frequently during the season. We'd love to have you join us. If ya haven't already made plans for Memorial Day, we've got some open sites on hold at Cutty's Sunset Resort for a regional rally just waitin' for someone to fill them. Check out the North Central forum for details. We've also got our National Rally coming up in June. Both of these campgrounds are within a 3hr drive from where you are. Please consider attending either one or both of these rallys.

Save travels & hope to see ya down the road.

OK. Thanks for your welcome. I'll just drag up a chair and sit, sip n' listen for a while.
Thanks so much for the invitations to join you in a couple of adventures. It will all depend on health issues at the time.
Looking forward to meeting you all in person. If there are any hams around we can get an eyeball QSO. (K3CFJ)
Cheers.

Thank you all again for your invitations and welcoming comments.

In regard to my service: it was a labor of love for my country and I miss it every day. You all can rest easy with the knowledge that our country is protected by the young folks in our Armed Forces today. No soldier or Marine in the world trains harder or smarter than ours.
I have to say that our neighbors to the North are pretty darn good, too. I have had the good fortune to be attached to, or worked closely with, several Canadian regiments.
BTW Tahti16, my Infantry company was attached to 3MarDiv on the 'Z' for a stretch. Does Con Thien sound familiar? We'll have to discuss that over at Happy Hour sometime.
Cheers. Chuck

Hey Big Ranger, welcome to iRV2. Thanks for your service. Assuming Ranger refers to a TAB and not a truck, you're one of the finest!

If you haven't found it yet, the Technology forum below has a CB & Ham Radio subcategory. Should find some hams there.

Hi Nonno,
Yep, it's a tab. Graduated from several Fort Benning's schools for boys. Learned how to make a perfect Martini in one of those visits.
Haven't made it to the ham forum yet, but will soon.
Thanks for your comment.
Cheers, Chuck
