My wife and I both retired in the last year. We have had campers for the last 12 years but never traveled on the road with them. We live in central New York and have always had our camper set up in a seasonal park. Our last camper was 39' and too big to consider hauling around with our 1/2 ton pickup. We have downsized to a 30 travel trailer but still do not take it on the road - at least not yet. All sites in our campground are water sites and the campers are parked wagon-train style so you face the water. We have our dock and 16' boat in our front yard and we have become avid walleye fishermen. We're looking forward to many more years of camping and fishing. I just discovered this site today while searching for a plug for my water heater and only wish I had found it years ago. It's great to be a part of something like this and we hope to be able to help others as time goes by.

Walleye fisherman? Sounds like Oneida lake I am looking out at the rain on it right now.

We retired one year ago and also are loving it. Love central NY up until right about this time of year so we are getting ready to go south.

Retired at 52 in 06, and lovin it. Arizona for the winters, Canada for the rest of the year.
When I get the urge to go back to work, I just lay down until it passes.

Same here! Congratulationns on the retirement and for finding your way to the forum. We've had an RV continually since '85 and finding this site has been a gold mine of information and fun. It's helped a whole lot in reducing the in areas that I lack knowledge.
