Roadside help
Hello we just got our first rv a 40ft mtn aire. We are thinking of selling condo and hd out to everywhere. My ? Is there any roadside assist program out there incase our 12 yr old aire has issuses? Or something close to human we can trust for honest help ??

Coachnet and Good Sam both have Roadside Assistance programs. Wait a day or so and you'll get pluses and minuses of both programs and lots of horror stories of why one is worse than the other. I went with Good Sam because of price and the fact that they are in the process of trying to improve all Good Sam products. I've called them twice for roadside help with flat tires. Both times they were quick to find tires and service, once in VERY rural central Wyoming. Good Sam offers discount if you are a member of GS club, it also gives discounts in member campgrounds discounts and free shipping at Camping World.

Thanks for that bfinn. This subject has always been a concern of mine during the year process of looking at all the pros n cons of rving. But can't be scared just aware. Thanks for advice

We have Coach-Net, only used them once in the last 10 years but they towed our DSDP to two different places on a Friday after the local FL shop lied to them. The FL dealer said "bring it in, we can get right on it". When we got there the story was "we never said that and it'll be at least a week". Tow truck drive called another shop (one that I trusted too) about another 16 miles back toward home. Got us right in and just past midnight on Sat. we were ready to roll. Tow bill was 0ver $700, no cost to us.

Good maintenance and CoachNet are the two best things to rely on if you're concerned with roadside service. Feel free to search the forum on this topic and you'll find a ton of reading material and shared experiences.

I just purchased Coach-Net after doing a ton of research. I saved money because they also cover your cars, etc. and have more offerings then my AAA so we can let my AAA expire. I also travel overseas and it provides SOS evac service as part of their top package. All of this and it was less then what I was paying for AAA just to cover my cars.

Hi and welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad to have you join the group! As others have said, most people go with eigher Good Sam or CoachNet. I have had Good Sam ERS for 12 years and have been about 95% satisfied with it. None of them are perfect! Good luck & God bless!

I'm so glad you asked this question! Welcome to the forum, I'm new, we are doing a fixer upper and I only just began to think about emergency towing and such-- and here is a post already started on that very topic!
Great question and just at the right time for me. I hope you have many years of not needing whichever outfit you choose.
