RV TV Replacement

I currently have a 2003 Journey DL and would like to replace the TV with a New Flat Screen Model. Does anyone have any info or know where I can go to research?

Any LCD/LED flatscreen will work. The trick is setting up your rig to mount the new TV and determining the size screen you want.

In our case, the view from extreme side angles was important. We had a year old Samsung that did not accomodate the side angles well.

We enjoy our 26" Vizio LED TV with front mounted speakers and side mounted controls and accessory connectors.

I don't know where your TV is loacted. My 2008 Destination had the 30" mounted behind the driver slide, in the middle of the coach. It was the old back type that weight 117 pounds, but it was digital ready. The hole it sat in was just a shade over 36 inches. So, I visited stores with my tape measure and found a Panasonic 36" tv with the external dimensions withing the hole opening. A 6 inch gain in screen is significant in a MH. I modified the mounting bracket and added a pull-out bracket. I have to pull it out because any tv that has 1 inch borders has the speakers either on the side, bottom or top (not many top) and this one has the speakers on the bottom. So I pull it out when we stop, and strap it in when we before we roll. Somewhere on this forum are some pictures of my install.

Good luck - American ingenuity will win over.
