We are new members of RV2 and new RVers as of last June. We've logged a lot of miles already, but plan to take our longest trip in January. We're headed for Arizona, then south through Nogales to Kino Bay on January 13. We'd love to find some other brave souls to caravan with us, as the reports on Nogales are not great. Anyone else planning such a trip, please contact us.

Hello All, I'm not sure how far you are in your plans for Mexico but after I watched this 48 Hours program I made the decision not to travel with my MH in Mexico. See what you think.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I envy your bravery, haven't been south of the border since the 70s.

Let's see, corrupt police, drug gangs killing each other, people who have nothing so they have to rob to survive, kidnappers and you are going to travel through in your high priced MH and toad. What could go wrong? I don't think brave is the right word here. Good luck.

Now way I'd travel to Mexico by MH, car or airplane. My money will stay in the USA until Mexico can get their act together and start being a good neighbor.

Don't wait for me, I may be a little late! There's not enough money in the U.S. Mint to make me cross that border! You better think a little more about that.

I'd put that into the same category as travelling in Afghanistan. I've done it but there is no way I would subject my family to the risk. It's not if something happens, it's when.
Best of luck to you.

Interesting to see the comments re Mexico. We would travel to most places without any concern and most areas are safer than most US locations. You can find trouble anywhere, if you are in the wrong areas. The people are wonderful and people who visit there from the north are impressed with the situation.
Find it humorous to hear comments like 'I was there in the '70's and I am not going back'.
We are all one .................and no better than the Mexicans.
Most of the trouble is a result of our need for drugs and their need for guns. Who is to blame?

Does it really matter who is to blame when it comes to putting your family at risk?
