Saying Hello

I am brand new to iRV2 and just took delivery of a used, but very well kept, fifth wheel yesterday. I fully intend to be a full-timer (solo) within the next two months. I still have much to do to get there, such as: getting the rails and install kit for the hitch to be mounted to my F250 (I already have the hitch itself); taxes, insurance, and tags; BIG ol' yard sale; selling the house; etc, etc.

The good news is that the F250 is already fully rigged for a 5th wheel. The first and only other owner of the truck had a 5th wheel hitch mounted in it, so the holes are already there. The ol' truck also came with the full factory towing package (trailer brake control panel, power hookup in the bed). I have had this truck since 2007, so I pretty much know her quirks and capabilities.

Hopefully, my learning curve will not be too bad. I used to be a BIG boat guy (had a 36 foot yacht at one point - old yacht). For those not into boats, I have learned that the systems on the big boats and the RVs are not really all that different (other than for grey/black water stuff and the use of LP). It also helps a lot that I have a father who is an RVer.
