Smile Scared to death in Louisiana...

Hi all. I've been a lurker for quite some time & my hubby & I (thanks to MONTHS of research) are finally the new owners of a new-to-us 36' mobile suites & a Ford F-350. We are excited & SO looking forward to what comes next. I want to thank everyone on these forums that take the time to answer the same rookie questions over & over... I've learned SO much just by reading your advice here. Now I have much more reading to do... Taxes, Insurance, RV clubs, roadside assistance, where to begin. Thanks one & all.

Welcome aboard. Good pick on the Mobile Suites. They are a nice rig.

Where first? The yard for now, trying to build a nice place to park it on our property in Plaquemines Parish while hubby finishes out his last few months in the Army. Gives us time to "practice"!

When it comes to insurance remember that 50's song "SHOP AROUND" and take the title advice.

Now, one comment.. 36' trailer and a F-350.. It is likely an F-250 could pull that safely but.. Hey, a 350 should make it easy.. Way better than the folks who tow one like it with a 150.. Very good choice on tow vehicle.

Recommendation: Take truck and trailer to a big EMPTY parking lot (Shoppig mall before/after hours?) and drive around a bit.. Way easier to learn where there is nothing to hit but the brakes.
