Welcome. Lots of good folks here with information to share.

When it comes to the interstates I don't think size matters Off the interstates and in some parks shorter is better.

Hi John! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

That's pretty much a personal decision. We had been pulling a 36' 5er for 10 years before getting the MH, and wanted to have about the same amount of space. We figured that the 40' MH would provide that, deducting the cockpit area.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Glad to have you here in the forum with us. You're gonna like it here.

I have a 43' and pull a Jeep CG and can go on almost every roadway, providing there is height clearance. You length is a personal thing.
Go to some dealers and sit in the various sizes and picture yourself in it. Does it feel right?

Happy Trails!!!

It depends a lot on where you want to go.

Most California State Parks are limited to 30 feet. If you never come to California then that will not matter.

I tow a 34 foot 5er. A lot of the forest service campgrounds will not tolerate us. We spend most nights in a private RV park. They rarely have a problem with long rigs.
