I thought I'd say "hi" to everyone. There is so much info in the forums...I'm so impressed! Currently, I'm living my dream. I'm racing cars at sites all over North America. Right now the crew drives a rig to all the venues (which works out to about 20,000 miles a year) and I fly in to race. As you might guess many of the tracks are far away from hotels or motels, and are often terrible as well! At the track it's hot, noisy, with no place to cool off, relax, clean up, do data analysis etc. Obviously, a nice RV would be the answer.
What type, size etc of course are still questions I have. With that many miles a year I figure I'll depreciate a lot, and also figure diesel will be required. Comfort driving for that much time on the road and comfort at the track is also a factor, as is fuel economy! Also this is more for function over form, so pretty stuff while nice isn't that important, Reliability though certainly is. I'll be reading the info here lots, and I hope that I might ask the occasional question for clarification now and again. More to the point, I'll hope to see some of you on the road next season!
Cheers!
